Real Brides: Erin and Damien
After a disappointing first visit to a bridal store Erin felt quite nervous about going to anymore appointments but her experience at The Bridal Mill was totally different as they made her feel completely at ease and helped her to find the dress of her dreams, even changing the style of the skirt until it was absolutely perfect. Having heard very positive feedback on The Bridal Mill, having had two friends who also bought their wedding dresses there she highly recommends a visit!
With 5 weeks to go until the big day local seamstress Belle Beau Bridal Alterations ensured that the dress was a perfect fit (taking it in 3 dress sizes) and added some extra details to the dress and on the arms to complete Erin’s bridal look. With 4 complimenting bridesmaids and a beautiful handmade flower girl dress the bridal party was complete.
Having looked for wedding inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram Erin knew exactly the theme and vibe that her and Damian wanted to achieve. The rustic Hampshire Suite at Old Thorns Hotel and Resort, with an intimate feel, fitted this perfectly, came highly recommended and the beautiful grounds were absolutely picture-perfect. The Little Details Company were recommended as décor suppliers but Erin also sourced a lot through Etsy and other online small businesses. Local to the Portsmouth area, The Sugar Mum Fairy, created the wedding cake and Erin also found a local, small business to make cheesecake canapés for the evening reception dessert table.
“The preparation of the morning of the day was amazing exactly how I’d imagined and when it came to me finally putting my dress on I was wowed at how good I felt in it I didn’t want to ever take it off. The whole day was a dream and the most magical experience we will always treasure”.
Whilst every moment was special being told that they were officially husband and wife meant the start of a new journey for Erin and Damian and with all the magical moments captured by Carla Mortimer Photography and Video4aday they are able to look back and relive the memories.
