We know Marie as the Manager of bridal boutique, Smart Brides in Portlaoise but were thrilled when we found out that she had chosen to wear one of our dresses for her wedding to Peggy.

Having worked in within the bridal industry helping brides to be (or their future Fiancé) choose engagement rings Marie had often found herself being part of a bride’s love story but was apprehensive about looking for a wedding gown for herself.  Worried that she wouldn’t find anything that “just felt right, felt like me” Marie started looking online for ideas, found our PH9004 and it became firmly set in her sights.  Every other dress that she looked at didn’t compare to the delicate fit and flare style and whilst she loved the corset back detail and scalloped neckline Marie was concerned that she was becoming fixated on it and only wanting this dress.

Marie’s “dream team” booked an appointment for her with Smart Brides and accompanied her on the day.  Walking into the showroom she felt trepidation in case she didn’t like the dress when she tried it on and, if so, had no idea what she was looking for!  Thankfully, Marie was quickly put at ease and her concerns were unfounded as, despite trying on 9 dresses just to make sure, the PH9004 fitted like a dream and she knew instantly that this was her dress.

Peggy also chose her dress from Smart Brides but attended a separate appointment with her own “bride tribe” and despite promising not to tell each other what style they chose neither were worried about turning up on the day in the same dress!

An outstanding memory of the day was having her daughter and life long best friend helping her into her gown, it was an amazing bonding experience that will remain in their hearts forever.

Marie and Peggy married on 29^th November in the Tullamore Court Hotel in a beautiful and magical ceremony that just filled the room with love and emotion.  Whilst Marie shone in lace applique, Peggy glided and glowed in a beautiful a-line satin gown.  It was a perfect reflection of their personalities and how they compliment each other in life and we wish them both health, wealth and happiness for the future.
