Lucy and Tom met on a night out in 2018 but it wasn’t until a few months later that they had a date and love blossomed! Like many couples the COVID restrictions of 2020-2021 proved to be a real test of the relationship, especially as Lucy works in the NHS, as they had to social distance due to having vulnerable parents. Love conquered all and Tom got down on one knee to propose whilst on their first holiday abroad together in Bruges.
Lucy only visited two boutiques before finding the dress of her dreams. Having tried on some of our collection in the first boutique she already knew that she loved our designs but just hadn’t managed to find “the one”. She contacted the Suffolk Bridal Exchange for an appointment, as they also stocked some of our collections, and was thrilled to be shown a wide range of dresses in her size and budget when she arrived. The 3rd dress to be tried on proved to be 3rd time lucky and Lucy had found her dream dress! The boutique were able to undertake the alterations to make it a perfect fit and this included adding a belt to give it extra sparkle but most importantly the a-line style and lace sleeves made her felt very comfortable and confident.
Having attended a friends wedding a few years ago at The Compasses at Pattiswick Lucy and Tom knew that this was a perfect venue for them. The beautiful old building, decorated in contemporary style with inside barn feature for the main ceremony and wedding breakfast room, matched their wedding vibe. Owners, Jane and Jono, were accommodating when it came to their chosen wedding professionals who were all local and smaller businesses, many of whom recommended and used by friends.
